Our 1st Tip of the week!!

Ok I am a full time mom of 2 over the years I have collected TONS AND TONS of handwork as I’m sure most of you have too! So I decided I can only keep so much of the handworkd and lord knows if I any of it was tossed away I’d be hung out to dry by my 5 year old especially! So when he started preschool I began keeping obviously the best ones and then I started to take digital pictures of the others! You can take close up pictures of their coloring, handwork, artwork, writing or any other things they bring home and store them on a cd! Then you can actually scrapbook these pictures and they will be able to see their arwork everytime they look at their books and not take up storage or turn yellow or damaged or get thrown away accidentally!! This has worked out perfectly!!! I have posted some of my digital pics to the right to give you an idea I also took several of the pictures where he actually posed with his work for bribery pictures later! Checkk them out! TGIF! New Category info!

Happy Friday to all our chicks! We have had a fun busy week! We are introducing new categories and products to our store! This is a continuing process! But it is a fun one! We have eliminated the New arrival category as we have created the creative block up above to show you all of our just listed items. From a store perspective this will be easier to keep up with from a customer it’s much more fun to view! We have added 2 new categories to our website. Die cuts and paper piecings where you will find special diecuts and paper piecings to add to your own pages. We have now created a handmade gifts section! In this section you will find altered clipboards great for teachers, friends or anyone! Christmas gifts, home decor as well as mini books and handmade albums will also be found in this section. We hope you’ll take a second to take a peek at the new items we add to each category daily and you can also find the new items for these categories added to our scrappy block up above! We hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Random Act of Kindness

Have to laugh!! my2scrappychicks dress code

Our blogging does not always have to be about scrapbooking although I’m sure a majority will be however let me be the first to make a non scrapbooking topic! Most of you know we are not just scrapbookers but we are also full time moms! Balancing the 2 can be quite challenging as we find ourselves working 7 day’s a week! Keep in mind these are not full day’s obviously because we do need to take time with family and have lives but my day now consists of dropping kids off at school 1 at 6:45 as he is in the marching band and they practice from the minute the kids eyes open till right before they close. (This is my 14 year old tuba player) and then I have my 5 year old who just started Kindergarten who I drop off at 7:30 to begin class at 7:50! After dropping kids off I come home and begin my workday! Luckily for mom’s and people who work at home you are not required to shower or dress even. I have come to realize my kids have seen me like this for too long. Which brings me to my point(finally) we had a sleep over last night each one of my boy’s had a friend over so they were entertaining each other this morning by playing wii. Well I yelled down to tell my oldest son to keep an eye on the little one’s I was going to take a shower his response was….do you have someplace to go?? I’m guessing that now I can’t take a shower and get cleaned up unless I have plans for the day! Maybe I need to rethink my2scrappychicks dress code policy!!!

Today I’m inspired to…….

Today is the first day in the last 10 day’s that it has not rained! Knock on wood! I have many things to do today soccer games, birthday partys but like everyday I want to be inspired to make something!! I want to be inspired to make something that has a wow factor! Paper bag book? Mini Christmas album? Baby book? I need to feel inspired today but not sure what to do. Want a break from the norm!I’m sure you have noticed that we have a HUGE inventory of scrapbook pages but what we don’t have are crafty books, unique gifts and fun stuff that create a wow factor! Well I plan to do something. Just not sure what!! Stay tuned it may not be today but soon! What are you inspired to do?? Or inspire me to do something someone challenge me!!

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE- DON’T YOU JUST LOVE INFO??

Hey Scrappy Chicks- We are going to make a few changes here at my2scrappychicks.com starting Monday (Sept. 21, 2009). In order to streamline our computer time we are going to announce all of our store information in one place. All information about sales, products, contests, and coupon codes will now be found RIGHT HERE on our new and improved blog.

Thanks to all of our amazing customers for being patient while we work out the kinks here at my2scrappychicks. We have learned a couple of things in the past month. One- we have AMAZING customers and two- we are going to have put a “one-time” per customer on each of the coupon codes. We will also be sending out special coupon codes to random customers in their mailing boxes so be sure look for them when you get your pages. We are working on a page kit of the month which will be an out of this world kit with tons of fun technique and themed according to each month. We will still send a newsletter out maybe every other week but mainly will use this as our tool to communicate!
